Dear Colleague,
We are pleased to announce the Second Annual Surface Surveillance Technology (SST) Workshop, to be hosted by MIT Lincoln Laboratory in Lexington, Massachusetts, on 23–24 October 2007. The objective of this workshop is to promote discussion between users and developers of emerging sensor technologies applicable to the surface surveillance mission area. Emphasis will be placed on technologies for countering obscured targets and difficult targets in the clear. We will include presentations on RF and EO/IR systems that can be used for the detection, tracking, and classification of ground targets in a variety of operating environments. This year the Workshop Technical Committee is soliciting presentations from the entire developer community, including government agencies, industry, and academia. You are invited to submit an abstract in response to the Call for Presentations that will be issued in April. We look forward to your participation in the 2007 SST Workshop. Sincerely, Dr. Pamela R.
