Stuart Schechter received his Bachelors degree in Computer Science from The Ohio State University College of Engineering in 1996. He received his Masters degree in Computer Science from Harvard University's Division of Engineering and Applied Sciences in 1998. Stuart's PhD dissertation, completed at Harvard in 2004, explored economic approaches to measuring and improving the security of software and computing systems. Concurrent with his research on economic approaches to security, Stuart also develops and tests applied systems to detect malicious code in networks and systems. Prior to joining MIT Lincoln Laboratory in 2004, Stuart co-founded ICLUBcentral, the industry leader in investment club accounting software. He has also worked at Microsoft, IBM Microelectronics, and Lucent's Bell Laboratories.
