Mr. Joseph A. Cooley joined MIT Lincoln Laboratory in 2000. He has since worked on computer systems across a wide swath of problems that include durable archival storage, distributed systems, IP networking in disadvantaged environments, applied cryptography, and enterprise security.

Mr. Cooley was a Lincoln Scholar in 2009-2011 and completed a M.S. degree in computer science at Dartmouth College under the direction of Dr. Sean W. Smith.  At Dartmouth, his graduate research focused on improving usable security in the domain of medical informatics.

Mr. Cooley received a B.S. degree in computer science from the University of Minnesota in 2000 and a M.S. degree in computer science from Dartmouth College in 2011.
