Thomas Hobson joined the Cyber Systems and Technology Group at MIT Lincoln Laboratory in 2011 and is currently focused on measuring risk to operational networks. Other research interests include software security, vulnerability analysis, and network security.
Mr. Hobson has also worked in New York and the Netherlands on a variety of challenges in the consulting and financial services industries, including investigating next-generation architectures for secure remote banking and developing software to support credit risk assessment during the financial turmoil of 2008.
Prior to joining the Laboratory, he completed an M.S. degree in information security from Carnegie Mellon University. During his studies, he researched automated mechanisms for discovering vulnerabilities in large software suites and conducted a security analysis of a clean-slate Internet proposal.
