Dr. Hamed Okhravi is a member of the technical staff at the Cyber Systems and Technology Group of MIT Lincoln Laboratory, where he conducts research in systems security and cyber survivability.

Currently, Dr. Okhravi is developing cyber-attack survivable systems and networks. The current effort focuses on creating cyber moving targets and resilient systems. In addition to survivable systems, Dr. Okhravi’s research interests include cyber security, cyber trust, science of security, security metrics, operating systems, and virtualization.

Dr. Okhravi worked as an intern at Network Geographics in 2007 and at Cisco Systems, Inc. in 2008. His internship projects were in security log correlation and firewall policy analysis.

Dr. Okhravi earned his M.S. and Ph.D. in electrical and computer engineering from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2006 and 2010, respectively. As a graduate student, he conducted research projects on high assurance multi-level security systems, virtualization, trusted graphics, security policy validation, trusted industrial networks, and information leakage detection.
