Dr. Mayank Varia is a technical staff member in the Cyber Systems and Technology Group. He joined MIT Lincoln Laboratory in fall 2010, and he is focused on applications of cryptography. His current projects include practical techniques for Private Information Retrieval and using cryptography to build trust mechanisms into Net-centric systems.
Dr. Varia received a Ph.D. in mathematics from MIT in 2010 and a B.S.E. in electrical engineering from Duke University in 2005. He has prior experience working with the Department of Defense and its contractors.
