Ms. Sophia Yuditskaya is an associate technical staff member in the Cyber Systems and Technology Group at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. She joined MIT Lincoln Laboratory in 2010, and her current research focus is in the area of network traffic modeling for cyber situational awareness.

Ms. Yuditskaya has worked at Oracle, developing software to support the storage and management of hyperspectral georeferenced imagery. Her research interests include network and computer security, human-computer interaction, geographical information systems, and data mining, analysis, and multimodal representation.

Ms. Yuditskaya is a graduate of MIT, with B.S. and M.Eng. degrees in electrical engineering and computer science and an M.S. in media arts and sciences.  She completed her M.Eng. thesis work at Lincoln Laboratory in 2005 on the topic of network simulation and comparative performance analysis of Group Membership algorithms.  Her M.S. thesis research in 2010 for the Human Speechome Project at the MIT Media Lab applied machine learning techniques to automate human perception of a child’s affective state based on acoustic vocal attributes.
