Dr. Kevin Brady joined MIT Lincoln Laboratory as a Member of the Technical Staff in 1997. Since 2002 he has been in the Human Language Technology (HLT) Group. He is currently responsible for the research and development of face and multimodal person recognition technology. While in the HLT Group, Dr. Brady has also investigated multisensor low-rate speech coding and speaker comparison problems.
Dr. Brady previously spent five years (1997-2002) in the System Engineering and Analysis Group. During this period, he primarily investigated tracking and estimation problems, with emphasis on applications of Kalman filtering, Cramer Rao lower bound analysis, and statistical bias compensation.
Dr. Brady received a Ph.D. in systems science and mathematics from Washington University in 1997. His graduate research was on the control of robotic manipulators over time-delayed communication channels. He also received a B.S. (1990) and M.S. (1992) in electrical and computer engineering from Clarkson University. His master's thesis was on the three-dimensional imaging of objects using structured lighting.
