Mr. Wade Shen is currently an Assistant Group Leader in the Human Language Technology Group at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. His current areas of research involve machine translation and machine translation evaluation, speech, speaker, and language recognition for small-scale and embedded applications, named-entity extraction, and prosodic modeling.
Prior to joining Lincoln Laboratory in 2003, Mr. Shen helped found and served as Chief Techology Officer for Vocentric Corporation, a company specializing in speech technologies for small devices.
Mr. Shen received his Master's degree in computer science from the University of Maryland, College Park in 1997, and his Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and computer science from the University of California, Berkeley in 1994.
