Contact the Advanced Imagers & Silicon Technology Group

About us. Lincoln Laboratory is a federally funded research and development center administered by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Its primary mission is to conduct research and technology development for the U.S. Government. Most Laboratory programs are funded directly by the Department of Defense or other branches of the U.S. Government.

Collaborations. In many areas like imaging, Lincoln Laboratory has developed technology that is of interest to customers other than the U.S. Government. The Laboratory has worked directly with universities and other nonprofit organizations through Cooperative Agreements and with industry organizations through Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRDAs). The Advanced Imaging Technology program does not have standard products and only conducts research and development programs. In the case of CRDAs, the Laboratory can apply previously developed concepts and technology specifically for new applications when no viable commercially available solution exists.

Technology transfer. The Laboratory has a long history of promoting technology transfer for application in the defense and the civil sectors. Many technologies developed initially to meet defense requirements have been adapted for commercial use.

Educational outreach. The staff at Lincoln Laboratory have developed a number of technical seminars that are tutorial in nature and will present these to universities and technical societies, if requested. Seminars on the subject of advanced imaging technologies and techniques include
