Eric Evans receives AFCEA Distinguished Award for
Excellence in Engineering

On 23 June, the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) presented Dr. Eric D. Evans, Director of MIT Lincoln Laboratory, with the 2014 AFCEA Distinguished Award for Excellence in Engineering, which is AFCEA's highest award given each year to one of its 35,000 members.

AFCEA is dedicated to expanding knowledge in communications, information technology, and electronics by fostering technical exchanges among professionals working in government, industry, and academia. To further this mission, AFCEA sponsors symposia and courses, holds informational events such as industry days, and offers scholarships to college students pursuing degrees in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
