Dr. Siddharth Samsi joined MIT Lincoln Laboratory in 2015 as a member of the technical staff in the Secure Resilient Systems and Technology Group. His areas of research include big data, medical image processing, and high-performance computing.

Dr. Samsi previously worked as a visiting scientist at the J. David Gladstone Institutes and a research fellow at the Luxembourg Centré for Systems Biomedicine, where his research focused on image analysis and workflow development for high-throughput screening of primary neurons.

While pursuing his degrees at The Ohio State University, Dr. Samsi also worked as researcher at the Ohio Supercomputer Center. His dissertation focused on developing computational tools for the analysis of high-resolution images of human and mouse tissue biopsies. This work involved the development of image analysis algorithms for quantification of disease phenotypes, web technologies for viewing gigapixel images, and the integration of these tools to leverage high-performance computing resources for interactive data analysis.

Dr. Samsi holds MSc and PhD degrees in electrical and computer engineering from The Ohio State University.
