Dr. William Semancik is member of the senior staff in the Cyber Systems and Operations Group at MIT Lincoln Laboratory and leads the Annapolis Junction office for the Laboratory. He currently works on projects involving security evaluations, cyber information sharing, and the intersection of electronic warfare and cyber systems. Prior to joining Lincoln Laboratory, he worked with the U.S Department of Defense on a variety of technologies and technology-related issues, including digital signal processing, high-speed digital system design, space systems, compound semiconductors, secure system design, large-scale networks, and issues related to technology policy.

Dr. Semancik is a senior member of IEEE, is active in IEEE’s Baltimore Section, and is a current member of IEEE’s Thesaurus Editorial Board. He received a PhD degree from The Catholic University of America in 1993. He also holds an MS degree from the Johns Hopkins University and a BSEE degree from the University of Akron.
