Chad Spensky joined Lincoln Laboratory in January 2012 as a Computer Security Researcher in the Cyber System Assessments Group.  His current research interests include: authentication protocols, malware analysis, cyber-physical security, novel introspection techniques, and smart card security. 

In his time at UNC, Mr. Spensky served as the Computer Science Students Association president for two terms in addition to being a graduate student senator.

Mr. Spensky attended the University of Pittsburgh from 2004 through 2008 where he received a BS in computer science, a BS in mathematics, and a minor in economics.  He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a PhD candidate starting in 2008 and finishing in December of 2011 with a master's degree in computer science with a focus in security.
