Dr. David A. Wilson is a technical staff member in the Secure Resilient Systems and Technology Group at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. Since joining the Laboratory in 2014, he has worked on a range of projects involving cryptography research, system design assessment, and modeling and characterizing threats to information systems.

Dr. Wilson currently works on designing tactical systems that inherently present cryptographic guarantees on the data they produce. He has worked on security analyses of existing, in-development, and Laboratory-proposed systems and has researched the applications of modern theoretical cryptography to real-world problems such as secure database search.

Dr. Wilson holds SB degrees in mathematics (2004) and electrical engineering and computer science (EECS) (2004), an MEng degree in EECS (2005), and a PhD degree in EECS (2014) from MIT. His doctoral research was in the area of theoretical cryptography, supervised by Prof. Shafi Goldwasser. In between earning his MEng and PhD, he worked as a software engineer for several years.
