Dr. Michael L. Winterrose is a technical staff member in the Cyber Analytics and Decision Systems Group at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. He joined the Laboratory in 2011 and has been developing analytics and models with application to cyber security using techniques from econometrics, predictive modeling, game theory, agent-based modeling, and artificial intelligence. Prior to joining the Cyber Analytics and Decision Systems Group, Dr. Winterrose worked for two years as an analyst in the Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Systems and Technology Division at Lincoln Laboratory. His research interests include advanced simulation techniques, statistical analysis, complex systems modeling, and data science.

Dr. Winterrose received his BS degree, magna cum laude, in mathematical physics from Washington State University in 2004, and his MS and PhD degrees in computational materials science from the California Institute of Technology in 2007 and 2011, respectively.
