Esther Wolf is currently a member of the technical staff of the Human Language Technology group. She has been part of the group since joining Lincoln Laboratory in July 2016. Esther has a background in mathematics, computer engineering and linguistics. She is interested in combining all of these interests through machine learning and computational linguistics.

Prior to joining the Laboratory, she did undergraduate research in the computer science department at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Her primary research was in question-answering and machine translation. She also volunteered her time at the Ludlow Area Adult Learning Center in Ludlow, MA. There she assisted local immigrants in improving their English skills. At Hampshire College, she did her capstone project, A Survey of the Axiom of Choice, in the foundations of mathematics.

Esther Wolf received her Bachelor of Arts at Hampshire College in Philosophy of Mathematics and her Bachelor of Science in Computer Systems Engineering at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
