Dr. Siddhartha Ghosh

Dr. Siddhartha Ghosh is a technical staff member in the RF Technology Group. His current research focuses on the development of acoustic and photonic devices in III-nitride semiconductor materials, specifically including acoustoelectric based analog signal processing for RF front ends. He specializes in wide bandgap semiconductor materials and devices.

Prior to joining the Laboratory, Dr. Ghosh was a graduate student at Carnegie Mellon University, where his research involved the demonstration of piezoelectrically actuated acousto-optic modulators in aluminum nitride. He developed fabrication processes to monolithically integrate acoustic and photonic resonators in the same device, and subsequently demonstrated opto-acoustic RF reference oscillators.

Dr. Ghosh has authored and co-authored a number of journal and conference publications in the areas of integrated photonic devices and MEMS-based optical modulators in piezoelectric materials. He is also co-inventor of an issued patent on continuous inkjet printing.

He received a BS degree from Cornell University, a MSE degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a PhD degree from Carnegie Mellon University, all in electrical engineering.
