Workshops/Education at Lincoln Laboratory
Lincoln Laboratory hosts annual workshops and courses that bring together members of technical and defense communities to share advancements and ideas. These events promote technology transfer, provide direction for future research, and foster a continuing dialogue that enhances technology development.

WORKSHOPS AT LINCOLN LABORATORY
Air Vehicle Survivability Workshop
11–13 May 2010
This U.S. Air Force-sponsored workshop on Air Vehicle Survivability has been hosted by Lincoln Laboratory for thirty years to provide a forum for current advances in Air Vehicle Survivability. Attendance to this annual workshop is by invitation only and is restricted to U.S. citizens.
Communications and Networking Workshop
12–15 July 2010
The Communications and Networking Workshop provides the user, acquisition, research, and developer communities with discussions on lessons learned, current trends, technical challenges, and the road ahead. This is a classified workshop. A security clearance is required for attendance. Email for more information.
High Performance Embedded Computing Workshop
22–23 September 2009
Lincoln Laboratory established the HPEC Workshop to provide the embedded computing community with a forum for discussing current advances in HPEC. The workshop may have both Open and Unclassified/U.S. Only sessions, as well as poster presentations. This workshop is available by invitation only. Visit HPEC Workshop or email for more information.
Homeland Protection/Bio-Chem Defense Systems Workshop
16–18 March 2010
The Homeland Protection/Bio-Chem Defense Systems Workshop provides the latest technological developments in homeland air defense, border security, critical infrastructure protection, disaster management, surveillance and detection of biological and chemical agents, and screening systems. Attendance to this workshop is restricted to invited U.S. citizens holding a security clearance.
Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Systems and Technology Workshop
17–19 November 2009
The Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) Systems and Technology Workshop is a new forum focused on developments in ISR, sensing and exploitation, as well as effective sensor data analysis tools. This workshop focuses on near- to far-term capabilities critical to the warfighter, intelligence, and homeland protection communities. Attendance to this workshop is restricted to invited U.S. citizens holding a security clearance. Email for more information.
The ISR worskshop combines the aspects previously covered in the ASAP, ISDS, and SST Workshops.
Space Control Conference
4–6 May 2010
The U.S. Air Force-sponsored Space Control Conference provides the space control community with a forum for discussing current capabilities, future needs, and technology development plans. Attendance to this workshop is restricted to invited U.S. citizens holding a security clearance.
The following workshop series are no longer offered. The information previously covered in these workshops is now included in the ISR Workshop.

COURSES AT LINCOLN LABORATORY
Introduction to Radar Systems Course
16–18 June 2009
This course has been developed to provide an understanding of radar system concepts and technologies to military officers and DoD civilians involved in radar systems development, acquisition, and related fields. The three-day program consists of lectures, demonstrations, laboratory sessions, and tours designed to instill a basic knowledge of radar systems. Attendance to this course requires a security clearance.
Ballistic Missile Defense Technology Course

The Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) Technology Course provides an understanding of BMD systems, concepts, and technologies for military officers and DoD civilians involved in BMD systems development, acquisition and related fields. This three-day program instills a working knowledge of BMD systems and consists of lectures, demonstrations, tours, and laboratory exercises. Attendance to this course requires a security clearance.
Networking and Communications Course
10–13 May 2010
The course covers the fundamentals and advanced concepts of Networks and Communications Systems for military officers and DoD civilians who are involved in network and communications research, development, acquisition, and related fields. The three-day program consists of classified lectures, demonstrations, and tours. Attendance is by invitation only. A security clearance is required for attendance.
VIDEO LECTURES AND COURSEWARE ›
The Laboratory presents selected video lectures and courseware from the Laboratory's Technical Education Program. These free video offerings have been developed to educate both staff and sponsors. They vary from "introductory" to "advanced" in their technical content and cover a wide variety of subject matter.
The audio and video of the lecturer, along with the PowerPoint slides from each lecture, have been recorded, and are presented simultaneously, as shown at left.
