DAA Evaluation of Guidance, Alerting, and Surveillance

The DAA Evaluation of Guidance, Alerting, and Surveillance (DEGAS) repository contains a simulation framework created by MIT LL to perform simulations of Detect and Avoid (DAA) Systems. DEGAS can be used to create an end-to-end simulation of typically two aircraft using MATLAB/Simulink. The code directory contains all of the components required for a user to create a two aircraft nominal encounter. A nominal encounter is an encounter where no avoidance maneuvers are performed by either aircraft. The DEGAS simulation pipeline is consistent with the Monte Carlo process described in this paper. There are additional repositories available that can be used to increase DEGAS functionality, for example, acquiring the DAIDALUS (a NASA DAA alerting and guidance implementation) repository can allow the ownship to perform DAA maneuvers.
