The Lincoln Research Network Operations Center (LRNOC) is the hub of cyber traffic research at Lincoln Laboratory. Researchers in the LRNOC identify cyber threats to the Laboratory's network and help mitigate these threats by working with the Information Services Department and the Security Services Department to block suspicious traffic from the network. LRNOC allows our cyber security professionals to constantly evolve the Laboratory's network security with each threat, facilitating timely cyber defense.

Research teams also use LRNOC network traffic and data as case studies to create cyber security tools for government sponsors. The tools created within LRNOC collect real-time network information rather than statistical network data, enabling us to develop accurate cyber defenses.
