Kerbal Space Program Software Design Challenge
During AIAA SciTech Forum, held 6-10 January 2025

This software design challenge based on Lincoln Laboratory's Kerbal Space Program (KSP) Differential Games open-source library is open to the public and will be held during the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) SciTech Forum and Exposition. Participants will develop autonomous agents for maneuvering satellites engaged in non-cooperative space operations (pursuit of an evasive satellite, multi-satellite proximity operations, etc.). Participants are encouraged to use a range of technologies (reinforcement learning, optimal control, game theoretical techniques, etc.) to develop algorithms for autonomous control of spacecraft. Seven monthly meetings will be held to allow technical exchanges. There is no cost to participate. AIAA membership and/or AIAA SciTech Forum registration are not required. Artificial Intelligence for Cyber Security Workshop

The AICS Workshop is a one-day workshop held during the AAAI Conference.

Defense Technology Seminar for Military Officers
17-21 March 2025

The Defense Technology Seminar is a unique Lincoln Laboratory–hosted seminar designed for military officers. The full, one-week seminar is a "booster shot" on the latest technologies for addressing challenges associated with peer and near-peer conflicts, counterinsurgencies, and special operations. A wide variety of topics is presented in terminology understandable to those not involved daily with technology development. Demonstrations, tours of advanced laboratories and facilities, and talks on broad issues in national security by distinguished guest speakers are all part of the seminar. Attendance is by invitation only and is intended for mid-level officers (O4–O6) from all the military services and a select number of government civilians who must be U.S. citizens and hold a security clearance. Homeland Protection Technologies Workshop

The Homeland Protections Technologies Workshop (HPTW) at MIT Lincoln Laboratory is a two-day in-person event focused on next-generation technologies for site security and law enforcement missions relevant to homeland security. Discussions will include topics relating to critical infrastructure security; special event security; border security; and federal, state, and local law enforcement. The workshop will feature a broad range of perspectives from the Department of Homeland Security, federal law enforcement, and state/local stakeholders, as well as technology highlights from subject-matter experts and innovators working to address the most urgent challenges. Attendance to the workshop is restricted to U.S. citizens who are affiliated with government or government contractor organizations.

Multimodal Learning for Earth and Environment Workshop

The Multimodal Learning for Earth and Environment (MultiEarth) Workshop aims to gather a wide audience of researchers in academia, industry, and related fields to leverage remote sensing images collected by multiple sensors for positive environmental impact. The workshop will feature a competition track on multimodal satellite predictions in the Amazon rainforest as well as a broader call for papers on related subjects. Extreme Ultraviolet Lithography and Source Workshop 
21-26 June 2025

The 2025 Extreme Ultraviolet Lithography (EUVL) and Source Workshop will be held at Lincoln Laboratory. This annual workshop, organized by EUV Litho, Inc., is a unique forum to discuss the challenge and progress of EUVL as it is being implemented in state-of-the-art semiconductor manufacturing. This workshop, co-organized with Lincoln Laboratory, will also focus on emerging new directions, which would enable semiconductor manufacturing to the end of this decade and well into the 2030s. In particular, leading researchers will present on hyper-NA lithography at 13.5 nm and on the various aspects of lithography at wavelengths below 13.5 nm (Blue-X), including sources, optics, optical design, photomasks, and photoresists.  June 21-22 will consist of online short courses, while June 23-26 will be an in-person workshop at Lincoln Laboratory.
