Defense Technology Seminar for Military Officers
17-21 March 2025

The Defense Technology Seminar is a unique Lincoln Laboratory–hosted seminar designed for military officers. The full, one-week seminar is a "booster shot" on the latest technologies for addressing challenges associated with peer and near-peer conflicts, counterinsurgencies, and special operations. A wide variety of topics is presented in terminology understandable to those not involved daily with technology development. Demonstrations, tours of advanced laboratories and facilities, and talks on broad issues in national security by distinguished guest speakers are all part of the seminar. Attendance is by invitation only and is intended for mid-level officers (O4–O6) from all the military services and a select number of government civilians who must be U.S. citizens and hold a security clearance. The Advanced Technology for National Security (ATNS) Workshop is a forum for architects of government systems to understand how new technology can impact future systems critical to national security. The goal of this workshop for government technology developers, industry partners, and system integrators is to share ideas with system architects and advanced technology developers to enable future national security systems that will make a difference.

The seminar features an overview of the Laboratory's programs, technical talks by Laboratory staff, and tours that showcase technology efforts throughout the Laboratory.

Homeland Protection Technologies Workshop
29 April-1 May 2025

The 2025 Homeland Protections Technologies Workshop (HPTW) at MIT Lincoln Laboratory will focus on applied research and technology development for more resilient and secure U.S. critical infrastructure. Topics relevant to a broad audience include the modernization of the U.S. electric grid, operational technology cybersecurity, and the interdependencies that exist between sectors of critical infrastructure. The workshop will feature a broad range of perspectives from the DoD, DHS, state/local stakeholders, and critical infrastructure owners/operators. Recent highlights in applied research and technology development will be provided by subject matter experts and innovators working to address the most urgent challenges. This workshop is by invite only. All attendees are required to be U.S. citizens.

Biotechnology and Resilient Human Systems Workshop

The Biotechnology and Resilient Human Systems (BRHS) Workshop is a two-day, in-person event featuring sessions that highlight the dual-use nature of biotechnology, building a resilient biosurveillance system, and developing broad medical countermeasures. The year's focus will be on Preparing for Future Biological Effects. The workshop will feature keynote presentations from leaders across the U.S. Government highlighting critical national security challenges and opportunities created from advanced biotechnology, and will also exhibit state-of-the-art research and innovations from the rapidly expanding biotechnology ecosystem.

The Air, Missile, and Maritime Defense Technology (AMMDT) Workshop addresses a broad spectrum of current work supporting integrated defense of the homeland and deployed forces. Technical content typically spans sensor and weapon systems, electronic warfare, and battle management. Recent sessions have highlighted hypersonics, emerging missile threats, and warfare in contested domains. Attendance to this annual workshop is by invitation only and is restricted to U.S. citizens.

Multimodal Learning for Earth and Environment Workshop

The Multimodal Learning for Earth and Environment (MultiEarth) Workshop aims to gather a wide audience of researchers in academia, industry, and related fields to leverage remote sensing images collected by multiple sensors for positive environmental impact. The workshop will feature a competition track on multimodal satellite predictions in the Amazon rainforest as well as a broader call for papers on related subjects. This workshop will be offered virtually and in person, and is part of the IEEE/CVF (Computer Vision Foundation) Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition Conference (CVPR).

Extreme Ultraviolet Lithography and Source Workshop 
21-26 June 2025

The 2025 Extreme Ultraviolet Lithography (EUVL) and Source Workshop will be held at Lincoln Laboratory. This annual workshop, organized by EUV Litho, Inc., is a unique forum to discuss the challenge and progress of EUVL as it is being implemented in state-of-the-art semiconductor manufacturing. This workshop, co-organized with Lincoln Laboratory, will also focus on emerging new directions, which would enable semiconductor manufacturing to the end of this decade and well into the 2030s. In particular, leading researchers will present on hyper-NA lithography at 13.5 nm and on the various aspects of lithography at wavelengths below 13.5 nm (Blue-X), including sources, optics, optical design, photomasks, and photoresists.  June 21-22 will consist of online short courses, while June 23-26 will be an in-person workshop at Lincoln Laboratory.

The Civil Space Tech Expo is a single-day event hosted by MIT Lincoln Laboratory. It provides professors and researchers from Boston-area universities the opportunity to learn about Lincoln Laboratory's space-related technologies and explore potential partnerships for future Civil Space missions.
