What do you do at the Laboratory?
I work in the Financial Services Department (F$D) and my responsibilities include performing risk assessments, supporting quality assurance and internal controls in finance transformation, and supporting internal audits related to F$D. In addition, I have been a Certified Public Accountant in Massachusetts since 2013.
How has your career evolved during your time here?
In just two years at the Laboratory, I've focused on making a meaningful impact while actively seeking opportunities for growth. I recently completed the MIT Professional Education Certificate in Digital Transformation, which further strengthened my expertise in compliance, technology, and financial transformation. I really appreciate the Laboratory's support for its employees and commitment to learning as it encourages my passion for improving processes and using technology effectively.
What is one goal you would like to accomplish in your lifetime?
One of my goals is to take on greater responsibilities within the organization. I am committed to making a positive contribution and upholding the Laboratory’s mission, which plays a vital role in serving our community and our nation. By building a strong reputation and having a voice in important decisions, I hope to make a meaningful impact and support the valuable work we do for our country.
From day to day, where do you find inspiration?
I get my inspiration from being outside in nature, where the fresh air and beautiful scenery really lift my spirits. I like to plan my workouts in natural settings because it helps me feel energized and connected to the world around me.
