The breakout moment of my career was participating in the development of a program that directly addresses a challenge area that I experienced while on active duty in the U.S. Navy.
Where are you originally from? 

I'm from Plano, Texas. Plano was a growing city during my years growing up there and my graduating class had 1,448 students.

What has been a standout personal achievement in your career at the Laboratory?

The breakout moment of my career was participating in the development of a program that directly addresses a challenge area that I experienced while on active duty in the U.S. Navy.

Tell us about your favorite hobbies outside of work. 

I enjoy watching sports: particularly football, baseball, and hockey. I also enjoy traveling. I have been to Iceland, the United Kingdom, Scotland, Italy, Africa, Japan, Singapore, Guam, Spain, Portugal, and Norway.

What do you consider to be the greatest accomplishment in your lifetime?

Raising three very smart, resourceful, and nice children.

If you could meet anybody, current or historical, who would it be any why?

I would like to meet Katherine Johnson, the famous mathematician from NASA. I admire the recently revealed accounts of her accomplishments and contributions to the space program in spite of the social challenges of that time.
