Emily H. Shen

Dr. Emily H. Shen is a senior staff member in the Secure Resilient Systems and Technology Group. She joined MIT Lincoln Laboratory in 2013. Her primary research interests lie in cryptography. Her current work focuses on the design and development of secure multiparty computation technology for privacy-preserving collaboration. She has also worked on cryptographically secure database search and access control.

Shen earned a BS degree, with distinction and honors, in computer science from Stanford University in 2006. She earned SM and PhD degrees in electrical engineering and computer science from MIT in 2008 and 2013, respectively, under the supervision of Professor Ronald Rivest.
