Hanson S. Duan

Hanson S. Duan is an associate staff member in the Secure Resilient Systems and Technology Group. His primary research interests lie in the field of cryptography. Since joining the Laboratory in 2018, he has worked on the test and evaluation team for Homomorphic Encryption Computing Techniques with Overhead Reduction, a program aiming to build a framework that enables the development of a broad spectrum of secure distributed applications that use advanced cryptographic techniques. He has worked on building a test framework and providing cryptographic guidance for the direction of the program. Currently, his efforts are focused in trusted computing, specifically secure boot and assuring the integrity of a system at boot.

Duan graduated from Boston University in 2018. He received his BA and MS degrees in computer science with a focus in cybersecurity.
