Chad L. Council

Chad L. Council is a technical staff member in the Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief Systems Group at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. Council holds a BS degree in computer science from the Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an MS degree in emergency management from the Massachusetts Maritime Academy.

Prior to joining the Laboratory, Council’s career included 15 years as an industry software developer and an overlapping 20 years of supporting major disasters. Council’s extensive disaster relief experience includes deployments with Urban Search and Rescue, deliberate operational planning, geospatial analysis, and response and recovery support for the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
