Jonilyn L. Yoder

Dr. Jonilyn (Longenecker) Yoder is an assistant leader of the Quantum Information and Integrated Nanosystems Group. She leads the development of nanofabrication processes for several group efforts, including research on superconducting qubits. In addition to quantum information device technology, Yoder's scientific interests include materials characterization, advanced lithography, process integration, and microelectromechanical systems (MEMS).

Yoder joined Lincoln Laboratory after completing a doctoral program at Cornell University. As a graduate student, she focused on the fabrication of high-gradient nanomagnets integrated on attonewton-sensitive cantilevers, which were used in scanned-probe magnetic resonance experiments. She also worked as a graduate research fellow at the Cornell NanoScale Science and Technology Facility. As a fellow, she developed and characterized atomic layer deposition (ALD) processes.

Yoder has published six papers and has given invited talks across the United States and Europe. She has received Cornell University's Nellie Yeh-Poh Lin Whetten Memorial Award and the American Vacuum Society International Symposium MEMS and NEMS Best Paper Award.

She holds a BS degree in chemistry from Juniata College and MS and PhD degrees in physical chemistry from Cornell University.
