Benjamin Ervin
Dr. Benjamin L. Ervin is the leader of the Counter–Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) Systems Group, which focuses on WMD threat understanding, forecasting, detection, response, mitigation, medical countermeasures, and remediation. The group focuses on pragmatic and cost-effective WMD defense architectures for the Department of War, Department of Homeland Security, Department of State, intelligence agencies, first responders, and critical stakeholders across federal, state, and local jurisdictions. Ervin has more than 15 years of experience related to complex WMD systems analysis, sensing algorithms, machine learning, red/blue teaming, phenomenology, data collection in operational facilities and locations, decontamination, serious games, modeling, and simulations.
He holds a PhD in systems and entrepreneurial engineering as well as MS and BS degrees in general engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
