Bich T. Vu

Bich T. Vu is a technical staff member in the Cyber Operations and Analysis Technology Group at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. Her interest is in secure DevOps through the lens of adversarial engineering. In her recent work, she is researching how to encourage emergent behaviors in complex software systems through inducing system failures and adversarial attacks to inform development of more resilient software.

Prior to her recent work, Vu led an effort to develop solutions for cyber problems from the mission, network, and threat perspectives within the former Cyber Systems and Operations Group. She also worked on prototyping analytics to provide a multilevel understanding of underlying system data for the operator. She joined the Laboratory in June 2015 and previously interned at the Laboratory in 2014.

As a recipient of the National Science Foundation's CyberCorps®: Scholarship For Service program, Bich earned dual MS degrees in computer science and engineering and management information systems with an advanced certificate in information assurance from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 2015. She earned a BS degree double majoring in computer engineering and electrical engineering, and a BA degree in mathematics in 2013, graduating magna cum laude.
