Ho Chit Siu

Formal portrait of Ho Chit Siu.

Dr. Ho Chit (Hosea) Siu is a technical staff member in the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Technology Group. His research focuses on interaction and learning between tightly coupled human-machine systems — from physical systems like exoskeletons, to cognitive coupling with human-AI teams. He is particularly interested in the design and analysis of experiments to test machine learning systems that work with humans, and how to build systems that support human-machine co-adaptation over time. He also teaches courses on design and digital fabrication for assistive technologies, working with students and people with disabilities as the lead instructor for the Beaver Works Design of Assistive Technology course and the CRE[AT]E Assistive Technology Challenge.

Siu earned his BS and PhD degrees in aeronautics and astronautics and his MS degree in planetary science at MIT.
