Matthew McLaughlin

Matthew McLaughlin is an assistant leader of the Interceptor and Sensor Technology Group in the Air, Missile, and Maritime Defense Technology Division at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. Since joining the Laboratory in 2008, he has supported the Missile Defense Agency and its Terminal High Altitude Area Defense Project Office, the Intelligence Community, and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency on several programs involving system concept development, system trade studies, data analysis, flight test design and planning, and algorithm development. His current areas of research include hypersonic systems and phenomena, hypersonic defense technology, and advanced hypersonic vehicle design optimization. McLaughlin received MS and BA degrees in physics from Boston College and The College of the Holy Cross, respectively.
