Adam M. Michaleas is an HPC systems engineer in the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Technology Group at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. His primary areas of focus are in big data analytics, parallel computing, cloud computing, AI and machine learning, DevOps, bioinformatics, and databases.

He is a co-inventor on a patent titled Systems and Methods for Genetic Identification and Analysis Systems, along with several other software inventions. One of these inventions that Michaleas co-invented was the Advanced DNA Forensic System, which won the MIT Lincoln Laboratory 2018 Best Invention Award and is associated with 21 technology disclosures that were filed between 2013 and 2018. This invention has been transitioned to FBI Quantico R&D, and will continue to have an important and expanding impact on national security.

Michaleas has also coauthored several papers that were accepted into various peer-reviewed journals and conferences in the areas of high-performance computing and bioinformatics.
