Brian M. Tyrrell

Brian M. Tyrrell is a senior technical staff member supporting multiple system architecture and human factors efforts in the Air, Missile, and Maritime Defense Technology Division. His research interests over the years have included the development of low–size, weight, and power (SWaP) systems; low-latency and high-bandwidth sensors; near-sensor computation; extreme-environment electronics; and the automation of design and analysis processes.
Tyrrell is a senior member of the IEEE and has authored or coauthored numerous papers and conference presentations related to sensor technology, integrated circuit design and fabrication, and radiation effects. His work in these areas has resulted in 20 U.S. patents.
Tyrrell received a BSE degree in electrical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, and an SM degree in electrical engineering from MIT.
