Evan M. Hanusa

Dr. Evan M. Hanusa is an assistant leader of the Advanced Undersea Systems and Technology Group at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. In this role, he leads signal processing and advanced concept development for a variety of undersea systems.

Hanusa joined Lincoln Laboratory in 2014 as a technical staff member in the Advanced Sensor Techniques Group. In 2015, he moved to the Advanced Undersea Systems and Technology Group, where he has led programs to develop, prototype, and test novel capabilities for undersea systems. These programs span multiple sensing modalities and cover from the smallest to the largest undersea platforms in the Department of Defense.

Hanusa received a BS degree in computer engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in 2006 and a PhD in electrical engineering from the University of Washington in 2012. Prior to joining the Laboratory, he worked as a researcher at the Applied Physics Laboratory at the University of Washington.
