Jake D. Varey

Formal portrait of Jake Varey

Jake D. Varey is an associate staff member of the Artificial Intelligence Technology Group at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. His current research pursuits include autonomous decision-making techniques for non-cooperative dynamic games, reinforcement learning for sensor resource allocation, and applying machine learning to automate space domain awareness. In his eight years with Lincoln Laboratory, he has focused on remote sensing for space domain awareness as well as novel algorithm development for faint signal detection.

Varey received his BS and MS degrees in aerospace engineering sciences from the University of Colorado at Boulder. The focus of his study and research was astrodynamics, orbital debris, and remote sensing.
