Peter A. Schulz

Dr. Peter A. Schulz is an Associate Technology Officer within the MIT Lincoln Laboratory Technology Office. He helps manage the Laboratory's internal R&D investments. Prior to his appointment to the Technology Office, Dr. Schulz worked on research that included 3D optical imaging of satellites from ground-based telescopes and improved signal processing for deep-space radars. He also designed and developed airborne optical networks, terrestrial fiber-optic communications, microwave satellite communications, and novel lasers, including early titanium sapphire lasers. He was an assistant professor of physics at the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Fellow at Oak Ridge National Laboratory before joining Lincoln Laboratory. He holds an SB degree from MIT and a PhD degree in physics from the University of California Berkeley.
