Ross E. Allen
Dr. Ross E. Allen is a technical staff member in the Artificial Intelligence Technology Group at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. His research pursuits include deep reinforcement learning, multi-agent decision making, and robotic motion planning. He leads educational robotics courses with emphasis on hands-on experience with uninhabited aerial vehicles. Allen joined MIT Lincoln Laboratory in 2017 as a technical staff member in the Control and Autonomous Systems Engineering Group. Before that, he was a SpaceX mission designer within their Guidance, Navigation, and Control group.
Allen graduated summa cum laude from the Illinois Institute of Technology with a BS degree in aerospace engineering. He received MS and PhD degrees in aeronautics and astronautics from Stanford University where he held the UTRC Fellowship in Aerospace Systems.
