Dr. Stephanie E. Fried joined MIT Lincoln Laboratory in 2015 in the Systems and Analysis Group. Her research for the Department of the Air Force has spanned topics including radar systems, air vehicle survivability, and air defense architectures. She transitioned to the Kwajalein Field Site in 2022. Here, in addition to assessing the impacts of climate change in the Pacific and developing hands-on expertise with some of the most impressive radars in the world, she is reconnecting with her love of the ocean. She received a BS degree in ocean engineering from MIT and a PhD in acoustical oceanography from the Scripps Institution of Oceanography at UC San Diego.
